Vietnam reaffirms adherence to one-China policy

HANOI - Vietnam reaffirms its firm adherence to the one-China policy in a joint statement issued by China and Vietnam on Monday.
In the statement, the Vietnamese side voices support for the peaceful development of cross-Straits relations and the great cause of China's peaceful reunification, saying it will resolutely oppose any separatist attempts for "Taiwan independence".
Vietnam does not have any official relations with Taiwan and China appreciates this, according to the statement.
