Friendships on the road. This photo was taken in Northwest China's Qinghai province last year with some of my friends. Some of them were friends before the trip, but others were not. Before the trip, someone told me that if you really want to get to know someone, travel with them. When I've traveled with friends, we've thankfully managed to keep it all fun and games. Lots of discussion went into the trips ahead of time, so everyone knew what to expect, and each trip has been short and sweet, so as to specifically avoid overdosing on our togetherness quota.
