Thanks to strong sales in the US, EU and especially in China, global electric vehicles (EV) sales created a record high to deliver more than 170,000 vehicles in December, and the figure surged 67 percent compared to the same period in 2016, according to EV Sales, a professional blog focuses on the new energy car.

Last year, the EV sold more 1.22 million units globally, an increase of 58 percent year-on-year.

A prediction from Bloomberg said global EV sales will be close to 1.5 million units in 2018, and half of them will sell to China.

Here are the top 10 best selling EV models from last year.
