A month and a half has passed since the end of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games, where China earned one gold, six silvers and two bronzes. Athletes on the Chinese team have finally enjoyed some leisure time for a change, and many have opened new chapters in their lives. Let’s take a look.

Short track speedskater Wu Dajing broke the men’s 500 meters world record twice and won China’s first and only gold in Pyeongchang. The world No 1 captured the hearts of millions of fans after the competition, and since then he has focused all his energy on promoting winter sports.

“My schedule has been so packed lately,” said Wu. “But seeing the public learn more about winter sports is a great comfort.”

Wu also plans to stay engaged in the sports industry after retirement. But his first priority is still the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
