As Aug 1 marks the 91th anniversary of the People's Liberation Army, it's time to remember those brave Chinese soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the safety and happiness of their compatriots and even other nations.
Chairman Mao Zedong once praised Chinese female soldiers who joined the army and defend the motherland in his poem: "Chinese women can have unique taste and great choices, as they choose military uniforms rather than common makeup."
