Students at Hangzhou Normal University in Hangzhou use face-recognition technology to enter their dormitories.
The new measure is expected to greatly improve dormitory management efficiency at the university, providing better assurances of students' safety on campus. The system will also be used at the university's library and canteens.
The university is also considering face recognition and curriculum registration in the classroom to keep track of student attendance.
