The heavenly scent of dough and cheese will soon be wafting through the capital again, this time at Zhongguancun's sprawling Software Park in Haidian district, as the Beijing Pizza Festival makes its 2018 return from Oct 13 to 14.

Themed after 1953 romantic film Roman Holiday, this year's event is an homage to the capital of Italy and the iconic dish that the country created — pizza. The annual cheese fest will showcase some of the citys top vendors and include drinks, bands, DJs and live entertainment, complete with an added sprinkle of mid-20th century chic.

Last year's fest attracted over 10,000 of China's most devoted pizza lovers.

Tickets are now on sale for the 2018 festival. Early-bird ticket buyers will receive a complimentary vintage bandana while group ticket purchasers (three tickets or more) will receive a free picnic blanket. Tickets are 20 yuan for early birds, or 30 yuan at the door. For more information visit here.
