Cashless payments have become China's most used application where online merges with offline, an area in which China leads the world, according to the latest report on the Dynamics of Chinese People.

With an 83 percent usage rate, China's usage dwarfs that of the United States and Japan, which recorded rates of 32 percent and 35 percent respectively.

Statistics show China's use of technology products and services is not confined to the internet, but also spreads to all aspects of life – both online and offline, the report said, quoting an investigation into tech in China, the US and Japan.

Let's take a look at the top five digital applications where online merges with offline.
