Promote methanol fuels and vehicles for sustainable development: Geely Chairman Li Shufu
Geely Chairman Li Shufu proposed promoting popularization of methanol fuels and vehicles in order to achieve sustainable development of energy.
Li proposed to clarify the legitimate status of methanol as new, clean and recyclable energy and include methanol in the clean energy catalogue.
He also proposed to strengthen access and operational management of methanol vehicles and loosen restriction of the methanol vehicle zone.
The country should also encourage technological innovation in methanol fuels and vehicles by adding major national science and technology projects and support the development and application of a variety of clean energy technologies, Li said.
