China, US keep close contact on signing of phase one deal

Chinese and American negotiators have kept close contact on the signing of the phase one trade deal agreed upon in early December, said a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson.
The issue of signing the deal was raised in the phone call between presidents of the two countries last week, said spokesman Geng Shuang, at the ministry’s regular briefing on Wednesday.
