A hydrogen-powered locomotive rolls off the production line in Datong, Shanxi province, on Jan 27. With a designed speed of 80 kilometers per hour and a continuous power at 700 kilowatts, the locomotive, which is the first of its kind developed by China, is able to operate continuously for 24.5 hours.
