Railway workers stay up late to keep passengers safe

While vast numbers of Chinese people are traveling to their hometowns for family reunions, a group of railway workers is busy maintaining a section of rail in Wuhan, Hubei province, to keep them moving.
"What we do is to make sure the stone slag laid under the rails is evenly and compactly distributed, so that trains can run on the line smoothly," said one of the workers, Yu Guolong.
