Shanghai's Huangpu district is set to host the 6th Bund Summit from Sept 5 to 7 under the theme "Navigating a Changing World". Jointly organized by the China Finance 40 Forum (CF40) and the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, the summit aims to tackle critical issues surrounding China's high-quality development and global advancement amidst a swiftly evolving international landscape.

With a focus on international finance, green finance, technology finance, and digital finance, the summit will present a diverse array of perspectives from speakers representing 20 countries and regions. Notable figures such as former US Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin and Nobel laureate Michael Spence are among the distinguished speakers scheduled to participate.

A key highlight of this year's summit will be the assembly of former central bank governors, including Jean-Claude Trichet, Donald Kohn, Masaaki Shirakawa, and Jacob Frenkel. These esteemed individuals are expected to provide valuable insights on navigating a pivotal juncture in global monetary policy. Leading institutions like the China Foreign Exchange Trade System and Standard Chartered will actively engage in the three-day event.

The summit will also host two closed-door seminars in collaboration with the Euro 50 Group, the Peterson Institute for International Economics, and Japan's Nomura Research Institute. This marks the first time these prestigious international dialogues, previously held in major cities worldwide, will take place in Shanghai.

The summit's International Advisory Council has expanded to include Jacob Frenkel and Axel Weber, further solidifying its position as a key driver of the summit's increasing influence. Over the course of three days, the summit will feature six plenary sessions, 16 roundtable dialogues, and nine closed-door seminars covering a wide range of topics such as global macroeconomic policies, international trade order, and artificial intelligence in finance.

Additionally, the summit will unveil the fourth annual Bund Green Finance Report, focusing on enhancing institutional mechanisms for transition finance and presenting practical policy recommendations for China's green transformation. A special session will be dedicated to promoting Shanghai as an international financial hub and exploring ways to integrate technological innovations into the city's financial sector.
