BEIJING, Dec. 19 -- Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Friday chaired a State Council executive meeting during which arrangements were made for the implementation of the decisions and plans of the Central Economic Work Conference.

Regarding a comprehensive solid waste management campaign, the meeting stressed the need to firmly curb the growth of solid waste. Priority should be given to treating waste closely related to people's livelihoods and workplace safety. It is essential to improve the resource utilization of solid waste and leverage market forces to promote the circular economy.
The meeting reviewed and adopted a draft regulation on the implementation of the country's value-added tax law to ensure its smooth implementation and safeguard taxpayers' rights.
