5 dead in coal mine flood, investigations ongoing

Five people have died following a coal mine flooding incident in Jixi city, Heilongjiang province, according to Xinhua News Agency on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at the Datonggou Coal Mine of Fengyuan Mining Company at approximately 4:30 am on Sunday, trapping five workers.
Despite intensive rescue efforts, all five workers were found and confirmed dead.
Post-flood disposal work and further investigations are currently underway.
