A social media video documenting a relay escort of a visually impaired university student home has sparked widespread discussion recently, receiving many likes and positive comments from netizens.

The video documents the journey of Li Yijin as she traveled on the G416 high-speed train from Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, to Wuhan in Hubei province.

Along the way, she received assistance from more than 10 kind-hearted individuals, including police officers and high-speed railway workers. Some attentive netizens counted that Li said "thank you" a total of 97 times during her journey.

After having pre-arranged special passenger services at the Guangzhou Baiyun Station, Li took a taxi to the station in the afternoon of Jan 26. At 3:44 pm, the taxi driver, considering Li's mobility difficulties, contacted the station police for assistance after dropping her off.

A police officer accompanied Li to the real-name verification area of the station, where Bi Yujia, a passenger service staff member, was already waiting for her.

With assistance from many staff members of the station, Li, accompanied by Bi, passed through security and the ticket check. At 4:06 pm, they reached the platform, where Bi found the train's conductor and placed Li's hand on the conductor's shoulder, instructing her to take good care of Li.

After ensuring Li was seated, Bi returned to the waiting hall to continue her work.

On the train, Li also received help from other passengers and train employees. At 7:44 pm, the train arrived at Wuhan station, and Li safely reached home.

Li later uploaded an over three-minute-long video on a social media platform, garnering many likes and comments from netizens.

Since the start of the annual Spring Festival travel rush, Guangzhou Baiyun Station has served over 1,900 passengers with special needs, including those with visual impairments.
