Arashi Vision Inc, a panoramic camera manufacturer based in Shenzhen of Guangdong province, announced on Feb 27 that the US International Trade Commission has dismissed all six patent infringement claims filed by GoPro, ending the 337 investigation initiated in March 2024 with a complete victory, according to Science and Technology Daily.

The probe had no substantial impact on the operations of Arashi Vision Inc, which will continue importing and selling products in the US without restriction, as per the official statement of the company.

During the investigation, Insta360, an intelligent camera brand under Arashi Vision Inc, maintained strong growth, with 2025 revenue reaching 9.86 billion yuan ($1.424 billion), up 76.85 percent year-on-year, the statement said.

Unlike typical 337 investigations targeting multiple companies, GoPro filed claims exclusively against Arashi Vision Inc, prompting industry observers to view the move as market competition obstruction.

Arashi Vision founder Liu Jingkang said the company's legal defense costs for the probe had exceeded $10 million. However, it maintained market outperformance under such pressure, mainly due to its superior product definition and China's supply chain advantages.

Overseas users commented that Insta360 popularized panoramic cameras and drove the action camera market's development, while GoPro lost its innovation edge.
