2006 Beijing auto conference to open in November

The 2006 Beijing International Automotive Conference will convene in Beijing on November 17. The one-day event, one of the world's most important gatherings for the global automotive industry, is jointly organized by China Automotive News, Nikkei Business Publications Inc and the Wall Street Journal.

This is already the conference's fifth session, and the previous ones were held in either Beijing or Tokyo. The motif of this year's conference will focus on the development trends of the Chinese automotive market amidst great changes in global auto markets.

Over 350 top management staff from the global auto industry are expected to attend the event and discuss key issues concerning China's automotive industry development trends and China's auto market.
