Nation builds largest railway container logistics center

The construction of China's largest longitudinal railway container logistics center, the Kunming Railway Container Logistics Center, has been completed.

The project, starting from July 20, 2004, was undertaken by Xi'an Railway Engineering Co of China Railway Electrification Bureau Group.

With a total investment of nearly 500 million yuan (US$63 million), the center covers an area of 800,000 square meters. It will adopt longitudinal transport of containers, which will greatly promote loading and unloading efficiency.
