Half tires have safety hazards

Half tires have potential safety hazards, including cuttings, scuffings, cracks and bumps, according to a recent investigation conducted by Goodyear China.

The tire giant tested 320,000 tires from 8,000 cars in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Foshan, Shenzhen and Dongguan.

Goodyear provided free tire safety testing services in parking lots of large shopping centers, gas stations and parking lots in streets. The company also gave car owners tire testing reports and a tire maintenance guidebook.
