A-shares gain slightly, 01/23(China Daily)Updated: 2007-01-24 10:01 China's main stock index climbed slightly yesterday, following big gains over the past few days. The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 2,949.144 points, 0.54 percent higher than Monday. Turnover in Shanghai A-shares was a heavy 109 billion yuan with 341companies gaining and 423 declining.
