Car decoration rules made public

The Regulations on the Operation of the Car Beauty and Decoration Industry, drafted by the China Automobile Dealers Association, were publicized on March 9 to solicit public opinion.

According to the rules, auto decoration companies must stick the products they sell with a price tag. Products like auto cushions, seat and steering wheel covers, genuine leather products and perfume should have their components stated clearly.

A mark must be given for products that contain any materials that may endanger human health. And products that stay longer than their quality guarantee period must be recycled or destroyed.
