Ministry of Finance to sell US$6.5b bonds

The Ministry of Finance said it plans to sell 50 billion yuan (US$6.5 billion) worth of three-year and five-year bonds to domestic investors from April 1-30 through assigned bank counters.

In a statement, the ministry said the treasury bonds will comprise 35 billion yuan in three-year bonds with a fixed rate of 3.66 percent and 15 billion yuan worth of five-year bonds with a fixed rate of 4.08 percent. The bonds will not be tradable on the market.
