Decision makers to discuss Asia's growing GHG market

"We are very excited that following last year's success in Beijing we have again been able to present a program with high quality speakers and exhibitors," said Andrew Marcu, president and chief executive officer of IETA, at today's press conference.
He added, "We continue to see a rapid growth in volumes of emission reductions traded as well as the number of participants in the GHG market. This Carbon Forum Asia will, I expect, demonstrate how engaged the region is in the current market."
About 110 leading companies and organizations from 26 countries will exhibit their products and projects, services and innovations as part of the trade fair. Seven plenary sessions and 12 workshops are on the schedule; they will discuss future market and regulatory developments.
Wolfgang Kranz, executive vice president of Koelnmesse GmbH, boasted, "Carbon Forum Asia 2007 offers updates on the carbon market's latest products and services, including presentations of industry case studies, discussion and networking sessions with high level of interaction. It is this particular mix of trade and communications that makes the Carbon Forum Asia platform an invaluable tool for successful business in the emissions trading market."
Riding on the success of Carbon Expo Asia 2007 in Beijing, this year's event allows countries in the Asia-Pacific region to present their project ideas and designs. The Singapore Pavilion, the Japan Village, and the Host Country & Project Pavilion are the three major exhibition sites.
The forum offers participants the chance to share experiences on GHG abatement projects and learn from developing and developed countries. Various technical presentations and project options for emissions trading will be discussed.
