R&D management of Chinese auto industry

With the increasing demanding requirements on innovation and independent R&D from enterprises and the public, self innovation became one of the hot topics in China, and as a pillar industry of national economics, the innovation in the automobile industry draws much attention. Currently, independent innovation, R&D and other keywords get the most exposure in all kind of news media and industry forums.

In the traditional vehicle fields, technology in China is 20 years behind the global level, especially in the core technologies fields such as engine, chassis, etc, China still has a long way to go. But now facing the global competition trend in the automotive industry.

In terms of engine dynamometer especially related core technology, China is still far behind advanced countries. Facing fierce competition and the trend of globalization, no matter in export or domestic business, automotive innovation is always challenged and faces critical issues. (See Figure 1)
