COSL offers to acquire Norway's oil service firm

China Oilfield Services Ltd (COSL), a listed subsidiary of China National Offshore Oil Corporation, announced Monday that it would offer to acquire all the issued and outstanding shares of Norway's Awilco Offshore ASA for HK$130.4 ($16.72) per share.

The deal would be worth of HK$19.5 billion if the offer price was fully accepted by all the shareholders of the target company, said COSL.
