Mercedes-Benz introduces new model in China

German premium carmaker Mercedes-Benz's S350 Dynamic luxury sedan debuted in the Chinese market today.

Priced at 1,448,000 yuan ($211,387), the new S350 Dynamic aims to further consolidate the company's market dominance for luxury consumer cars.

"With the launch of S350 Dynamic, which is tailor-made for dynamic individuals, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class lineup in the China market has been enriched to eight models. This extensive family will surely continue the success of our flagship S-Class in China," said Bjoern Hauber, general manager of Sales & Marketing of Mercedes-Benz (China) Ltd.

As of November 2008, over 13,000 units of the S-Class have been delivered to customers on the Chinese mainland, representing a 44 percent year-on-year increase. China is the second biggest market for Mercedes-Benz's S-Class.

The German luxury car manufacturer said on Tuesday that it has sold 35,200 vehicles between January and November, rising 52 percent from a year earlier, the highest among its peers in the luxury car segment.
