Mass production to start on eco-efficient light

Acriche A4, the world's first semiconductor light source operating directly from AC power without a converter, will be put into mass production and sales this year.

The light is manufactured by Seoul Semiconductor, the sixth largest LED supplier in the world. Compared with incandescent lamps, Acriche A4 will reduce carbon dioxide emission by 93 percent.

Its use-cost is 94 percent lower than that of incandescent lamps and its luminous efficiency is 80 percent higher.
