BEIJING -- China's benchmark Shanghai Composite Index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange closed at 2,844.08 points Thursday, down 39.34 points, or 1.36 percent, from the previous close.
A Share Index: 2,978.36 points, down 41.2 points, or 1.37 percent;
B Share Index: 300.36 points, down 4.01 points, or 1.32 percent;
Total Turnover: 115 billion yuan ($17.69 billion).
