Rail & Metro China 2014 is being held from June 17 to 19 at Shanghai New International Expo Center. This event brings together about 180 companies from 14 countries and regions. The exhibition covers 10 categories of railway systems, including subway, light rail, monorail, tram, maglev, suburban railway, intercity rail, regional railway, heavy haul railway and high-speed railway systems.
At this expo, China South Locomotive & Rolling Stock Corporation Limited (CSR) announced that the speed of its high-speed train tested in a lab has gone beyond 600 kilometers per hour, and the traction of its high-power electric locomotive reached 30 thousand tons.
China's first urban rail vehicle, manufactured by Changchun Railway Vehicles Co Ltd, is also on display at the expo.
