Forbes released its list of the 100 Richest People in Tech on Aug 5, with 20 from the Chinese mainland.
With a net worth of $79.2 billion, the world's richest man, Bill Gates, topped the tech list and Jack Ma Yun, founder of China's e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd., topped the Asian tech group, and ranked seventh with an estimated wealth of $22.7 billion.
Besides Jack Ma, China's Pony Ma Huateng, founder of Tencent Holdings; Robin Li Yanhong, CEO of Baidu and Lei Jun, founder of smartphone maker Xiaomi, also take their places in the top 20 tech billionaires.
The wealth of the 100 richest tech billionaires reached $842.9 billion in total in 2015, according to Forbes.
