Zhongtong Bus and Holding Co in Shandong province will receive an 80 million yuan subsidy from the central government to aid its development of plug-in hybrid and pure-electric buses, according to its statement on Jan 29.
Zhongtong has been making large and medium-sized buses for 40 years and was among the first in the sector to be publicly listed.
