Detroit Electric, the international electric vehicle manufacturer, is finalizing dynamic testing of its SP:01 pure-electric sports car at a facility in Europe ahead of its introduction in several world markets.

A pre-production version of the lightweight, two-seat, rear-wheel-drive, open-top sports car was revealed to the media at events in Detroit and Shanghai last year.

The company will announce further details of the car and its production and sales plans in the coming weeks.
