Cruise's best pal laughs off honeymoon reports

Tom Cruise's best friend David Miscavige has laughed off reports he joined the actor and his new wife Katie Holmes on their honeymoon.
Miscavige is chairman of the controversial Scientology religion--of which Cruise and Holmes are followers--and served as best man at the couple's wedding in Bracciano, Italy, on Nov. 18.
Reports suggested Miscavige and one other person joined the newlyweds and their baby daughter Suri on a cruise of the Maldives in the Indian Ocean.
However, a representative for the church says, "This is so stupid. I don't know how many times I have to say it: It is absolutely, 100 percent not true. Mr. Miscavige was not there."
