British court halts leaks of Britney rehab details

Lawyers for Britney Spears won an emergency injunction in London's High Court on Thursday preventing further details appearing in the British press about the U.S. singer's stint in a rehabilitation center.
According to media solicitors Schillings, they are also seeking an order requiring media outlets to disclose the source of the leaks.
"An emergency injunction was obtained in London's High Court ... on behalf of Britney Spears to restrain the person or persons, known as 'John Doe', who has/have been leaking information about Ms Spears' time in a rehabilitation clinic from further disclosures invading her privacy," Schillings said.
Spears, 25, checked into the Promises Malibu Treatment Center on February 21 after shaving her head following weeks of erratic public behavior that coincided with an escalating divorce battle.
The statement issued on Thursday said Spears, who recently left the luxury Malibu facility, intended to challenge false allegations that have already been published.
"Applications are pending in London's High Court to seek an order requiring certain UK media organizations to disclose their respective sources so that John Doe can be identified and action can be taken against him/her," Schillings said.
The former teen idol, a mother of two, was photographed on several occasions making her way to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings outside the rehab facility during her stay there.
