Chalco to buy Peru Copper for US$790.4m

Aluminum Corporation of China Ltd. (Chalco) agreed to buy Peru Copper Inc. for about C$840 million ($790.4 million).
The per-share offer is C$6.60, Vancouver-based Peru Copper said today in a statement distributed by Canada NewsWire. Beijing- based Aluminum Corp., or Chalco, is the biggest aluminum producer in China.
