Two men injured in Shanghai gun shooting

SHANGHAI -- Two men were injured, one critically, on Friday in a shooting in Shanghai, police and witnesses said.

Xinmin Evening News quoted an unidentified woman witness saying that she saw two groups of people talk outside Lohas Cafe on Wuning Road around 12:30 pm. A fight broke out later and one man took out a gun and shot at the other group.

A witness told China Daily that a man shouted "give back the money".

One of the injured, who has no identification document, was still in critical condition, after doctors found a fragment of shell in his brain. The other, injured on the neck, left the scene, witnesses said.

The Xinmin Evening News also said five men including the shooter took a white car with a Jiangsu plate and fled the scene.
