Couple pledges to donate corneas on wedding day

A newlywed couple made a mutual pledge to donate their corneas after death on their wedding day in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, last week.

Bridegroom Wang Di and Liu Xiujuan, both born in 1980, went straight to a local hospital after their wedding to sign the agreements.

Wang said he had only recently learned about the large number of Chinese people in need of corneas.
