As high-power electric locomotives were equipped on the electrified railway from Xining to Golmud this year, the capacity of railway transportation in Qinghai province and Tibet autonomous region was greatly improved.
Qinghai-Tibet railway is the world's highest railway, connecting Xining of Qinghai province and Lhasa of Tibet autonomous region. Nearly half of the track was built 4,000 meters above the sea level.
