Recognizing the potential of the global cleantech industry in 2006, Chen Kangping changed from being the CFO of a listed company to become the founder of Jinko Solar Holding Co Ltd, which makes silicon chips, cells and photovoltaic modules.

Jinko was listed on the New York Stock Exchange this year to become China's first photovoltaic company to issue an IPO in the US after the financial crisis.

The company has large production facilities in Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces and has branch offices in Shanghai, the United States, Germany and Italy. Jinko's products are offered in markets worldwide.
