BEIJING - China said on Tuesday it will seriously consider Iran's invitation to tour Teheran's nuclear facilities, reiterating its stance on a diplomatic solution to the issue of uranium enrichment.

"Dialogue and negotiation remain the correct approaches to solve Iran's nuclear issue in a comprehensive and proper way in the long term," Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said at a regular news conference.

"We are seriously considering Iran's invitation, and we hope Iran can come back to the negotiating table at an early date and enhance cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency," she said.
