Chinese airlines are looking to expand infrastructure construction and international cooperation to promote the aviation industry's growth and the progress of the Belt and Road Initiative, senior officials have said.

"The Civil Aviation Administration of China is actively serving the initiative, a major proposal by President Xi Jinping in 2013, to advance the development of the entire industry and make breakthroughs in key areas," said CAAC head Feng Zhenglin.
