Maria Pages Company, led by Spanish flamenco dancer and choreographer Maria Pages, will bring flamenco show Autorretrato, or Self Portrait, to Beijing next weekend. As the title of the show suggests, the choreography is a personal account of the 51-year-old master, who translates her experiences into dance, atmosphere and stage setting. She premiered the show in the International Forum Theater in Tokyo in 2008.

The Maserati show

US band Maserati is going to pump it up for fans in Guangzhou on May 30. Founded in 2000, the band makes liberal use of guitar, bass and drums. But the sound also bears a mix of post-rock and psychedelic influences. Their music is often used in BMX and skateboard shows.

Children's Day

A small patch of green has sprung up in the concrete jungle of Jinqiao. To celebrate events around Children's Day at Life Hub@Jinqiao, the greens call on young people to care for nature. A toy train has also been built at the site to welcome children for rides. Landscape designer Yu Minggao has made a gazebo in the open yard.

Sculptor returns to China

American sculptor Mark di Suvero is having his debut exhibition in China. Born in Shanghai in 1933, Di Suvero's parents fled from Italy to China, living first in Shanghai, then in Tianjin, before emigrating to the United States in 1941. Known for his monumental, architectural-scale sculptures, which incorporate salvaged steel and steel I-beams, often brightly painted and ranging from 6 to 18 meters, Di Suvero's sculptures can be seen in more than 100 museum collections, public parks, university campuses and urban plazas throughout the world.

Return to nature

American artist Patty Hudak and friends are presenting a group charity exhibition titled Nature. It focuses on a group of international artists, who have regularly painted together in natural settings or whose primary artistic subject is nature. A total of 35 works are on sale and 20 percent of all proceeds will be donated to the United Foundation for China's Health.
