Youth Film Studio, a 58-year-old venture behind more than 100 domestic films, recently announced its teaming up with a movie and television fund to support young talents.

The studio, an affiliated organization to Beijing Film Academy, has produced a number of critically acclaimed films, such as Zhang Yimou;s Venice Golden Lion-winning The Story of Qiuju and the biographic drama Genghis Khan.

It signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Yung Park Evergreen Entertainment Fund, which invests movies, television series, variety shows, online movies and animated productions, in Beijing on Jan 17.

Yu Jianhong, president of the studio, reveals the collaboration will benefit young talents on art-house titles.

Ma Jun, the managing partner of the fund, reveals they will also collaborate with some Hollywood top talents, including the sci-fi epic Passengers' producer Stephen Hamel and the Oscars-winning The Revenant’s producer Philip Lee.
