Parents of a young woman in Shanghai are anxiously seeking a solution to their daughter's habit of either fasting or binge eating.

Yang Yang, 21, ate just milk candies a day two years ago and as a result her weight plummeted from 60 kg to 40 kg in a month.

After being hospitalized and released Yang went to the opposite extreme and started eating from the first minute she woke in the morning until she went to bed at midnight. Even when she vomited she ate again soon after.
