Son of Lu Xun dies at age of 81

BEIJING - Zhou Haiying, the son of the famous 20th century Chinese writer Lu Xun, died of natural causes Thursday morning at the age of 81 in Beijing.

The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, the government agency which Zhou once worked for, issued an obituary on its website.

A state funeral ceremony will be held on April 11 for Zhou in Babaoshan of western Beijing, according to the obituary.

Zhou Haiying was born in September 1929 in Shanghai and was author of the book "Lu Xun and Me in 70 years."

Lu Xun, who died in 1936, was among the leading Chinese writers who helped kick Chinese literature into the modern era with novels such as "The True Story of Ah Q" and "A Madman's Diary."

Lu Xun's real name is Zhou Shuren.
