The Premier was seen off by Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa and other officials at the hotel where he stayed.

On his way back, the Premier visited the Tai Po Science Park.

On June 29 after arriving here, Wen attended the signing ceremony of the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA), the first trade pact between the Mainland and Hong Kong.

On June 30, he met Hong Kong health workers and people from all walks of life to commend their success in the fight against severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).

Wen toured the Amoy Gardens and the Prince of Wales Hospital, where SARS took its toll. Also he inspected major infrastructure construction projects and the Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing Limited.

In his visit to the New Town Plaza at Shatin and the University of Hong Kong, Wen warmly talked with local residents, teachers and students.

State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan, Liao Hui, vice-chairman of the National Committee of CPPCC and director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office in the State Council were among the Premier's entourage.
