Four successful liver transplant operations in one day

The General Hospital of the Armed Police Force has successfully finished four
liver transplant operations in one day recently, breaking the record in this
field in the whole army.
In the light of the fact that the hospital has to undertake large amount of
regular medical treatment work, and in order to encourage the medical staff to
give a good account of themselves, the hospital started a quality service
contest entitled "Bethune Cup",which requires the medical workers "not to refuse
diagnosis , not to miss diagnosis, not to have any diagnosis accident, not to
refuse acceptance of patients, not to refuse treatment and rescue of patients ".
They also prepared special ambulances and first-aid staff to be on duty 24
hours to ensure the immediate acceptance, diagnosis and treatment of patients.
During the SARS outbreak, they accepted 32,672 patients, including 1402
inpatients and 507 emergency treatment operations.
For emergency cases, such as patients who suffer from liver problems and
tumor, they try their best to give them timely treatment and ensure smooth
operation of radiotherapy and chemotherapy and transplant operation. Since March
10th, the hospital staff has finished 14 critical liver transplant operations
and snatches the patients from the jaws of death.
