China sweeps four titles at Danish Open table tennis

Sweeping all four titles, Chinese paddlers became the biggest winners at the
Danish Open table tennis tournament in Aarhus, Denmark, on Sunday.
World number one Ma Lin snatched his third Pro Tour singles title in a row
after he beat Chuan Chih-Yuan of Chinese Taipei 4-1 (11-5, 11-3, 10-12, 24-22,
12-10) in the final.
Ma dominated the first two games but Chuan found his game in the third. In
the fourth game, Ma led 7-1 before Chuan came back at 8-8 and Ma took the game
by 24-22. Ma rallied to take the fifth game for a narrow victory 12-10.
In the men's doubles earlier on Sunday, new pair Ma Lin/Wang Hao won the
title with a 4-1 (11-5, 12-10, 8-11, 11-9, 12-10) victory over Lucjan
Blaszczyk/Tomasz Krzeszewski of Poland.
World top women player Zhang Yining took her fourth Pro Tour singles title
this year after she knocked off Krisztina Toth of Hungary, a losing finalist at
the Croatian Open in 2000, 4-1 (6-11, 11-6, 11-8, 11-9, 11-7).
On her way to the final, Toth shocked a Chinese young star Guo Yue after a
seven-game hard battle 4-3 (10-12, 11-5, 7-11, 11-8, 11-7, 5-11, 11-9).
Guo Yue/Niu Jianfeng of China upset Song Ah Sim/Tie Yana of Hong Kong, China,
4-2 (11-9, 6-11, 11-9, 11-9, 10-12, 8-11 ) to win the women's doubles
gold.
