How to address housing difficulties of low-income families in urban areas is a concern of Chinese government. To solicit ideas for the design of China’s housing policies, the Institute of Market Economy of DRC, in cooperation with World Bank and International Finance Corporation, held the Workshop on Housing Policies for Mid and Low Income Families on July 19 and 20. Officials and experts from World Bank, United States, France and Malaysia introduced experiences and practices of developed and developing countries on this issue. Mr. Li Jiange, Vice President of DRC gave remarks at the meeting. Over 60 participants from DRC, relevant ministries, financial institutions and associations attended the meeting.
